Don't touch that light switch!Oct 24, 2009

These switch guards are fabulous! I have used them in several places around my house and given them to friends and family for their homes. Because they have an opening on one side, this allows you to hit the switch if need be but, deters others from hitting it and losing power to something that you don't want turned off. If you have two switches side by side and only one needs to be "guarded", these are great because if you're entering a dark room, there's no chance of hitting the wrong switch when you run your hand over them. They are a snap to install and just as easy to remove.

Does the job!Aug 10, 2010
By ThistleFlower Our toddler insisted on turning our one set of light switches on an off, much to our chagrin. These lightswitch guards are wonderful! Such a simple fix for an annoying problem--they work like a dream. They cover the switch, but still allow us to turn the light on and off if we choose from the side.

Does exactly what I needed it to do.Apr 21, 2012
By Erik Harris This will prevent switches from accidentally being flipped, like with the light-and-motion sensing lights outside our garage that we want to keep powered on. The guard seems sturdy, and it's really easy to install. The only down side, and it's really minor, is that I thought from the picture and description that the switch is accessible from both sides, and that the plastic arch just covered the switch from the front. The switch is only accessible from one side, though, so you'll need to think about which side you want to be able to access the switch from when installing it. Since the product picture only shows the covers from the front, this isn't obvious until you receive it.

Amertac Switch GuardMar 24, 2010

Simple, clean solution from accidently tripping a standard wall switch (does not work with Decora style switches). Installs in under 5 minutes using the standard switchplate screws. Open on one side so you can still access the switch. Does the job perfectly with a nice clean look!
Perfect for my needsMay 09, 2013
By Nathan I needed something that would keep my 1 year old son from turning the light on in his room while in his crib. This is perfect because I was able to install it with the open side facing away from his crib and toward the door. So it is no hassle at all to turn on when I walk in the room, but it is impossible for him to turn it on from his crib. Extremely easy to install.
